Joseph Campagna graduated magnum cum laude from Vermont Law School in 2005, where he achieved a rank of 5th out of 169 in his class while also serving as the head note editor of the Vermont Law Review. He also graduated summa cum laude from Houghton College, New York, in December 2000, where he was also a NAIA Academic All-American in Track (1999-2000).
In 2005 he joined the Vermont law firm Murphy Sullivan Kronk, where as an associate lawyer he was involved in litigating all stages of cases involving land use, real estate, zoning and environmental disputes. He also gained experience drafting contracts for large corporate and real estate transactions.
Joseph joined SGB's Criminal Division in 2009. He moved his focus to criminal defense, where he has since worked on all aspects of defending white collar and violent crime accusations. Joe's keen mind and academic excellence are reflected in the superior quality of his legal research and analysis. He has worked on white collar and serious felony cases, concentrating on cases involving allegations of healthcare fraud and fraudulent tax shelters. He brings excellent skills in conducting in-depth legal and factual analyses for exceptionally complex cases.
