Joseph joined SGB's Criminal Division in 2009, where he has worked on all aspects of defending white collar and violent crime accusations. Joe's keen mind and academic excellence are reflected in the superior quality of his legal research and analysis. He has experience representing clients in all stages of criminal cases, from pre-charge investigations through post-sentencing matters, in venues ranging from municipal to federal courts. He brings excellent skills in conducting in-depth legal and factual analysis for exceptionally complex cases.
Joseph Campagna graduated magnum cum laude from Vermont Law School in 2005, where he achieved a rank of 5th out of 169 in his class while also serving as the head note editor of the Vermont Law Review. He also graduated summa cum laude from Houghton College, New York, in December 2000. In 2005 he joined the Vermont law firm Murphy Sullivan Kronk, where as an associate lawyer he was involved in litigating all stages of cases involving land use, real estate, zoning and environmental disputes.
