Lindsay Halm

Catastrophic Injuries | Class Actions | Crime Victims | Employment Law | Environmental Health & Injuries | Maritime Law | Nursing Home Abuse | Serious Accidents | Sexual Abuse & Assault

Lindsay's practice is primarily focused on ending discrimination and illegal pay practices in the workplace. She also represents victims of assault and abuse and people who have suffered severe personal injuries or lost family members in serious accidents.  She is a compassionate advocate for everyday people in their struggle against more powerful interests.

Lindsay was born and raised in the Seattle area.  She graduated with honors form the University of Washington School of Law after receiving her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College in Maine. Before attending law school, she worked as an environmental planner on topics ranging from salmon recovery to air quality.  During law school, Lindsay served on the editorial board of the Law Review, interned at the National Wildlife Federation, and joined the Innocence Project Northwest Clinic to work on behalf of the wrongfully convicted.  Prior to joining SGB in 2007, Lindsay served as a law clerk to the Honorable James L. Robart in United States District Court.

Results About

Lindsay has obtained significant settlements for victims of sexual assault and harassment; workers who have faced discrimination based on age, gender, disability, and sexual orientation; and individuals who have suffered from medical mistakes and other serious injuries.

In one example, the State of Washington recently hired Lindsay as part of a team of SGB attorneys to defend a challenge to the state's minimum wage increase for 2011.  The team's success ensured that thousands of workers across the state would get the wage increase the deserve.
