HAMMER V. COLUMBIA TITLE CO., ESCROW FEE CLASS ACTION
SGB, along with co-counsel Guy Beckett and Rob Williamson, has filed a class action lawsuit in alleging that Columbia Title Co. breached its contract with borrowers and violated the Washington Consumer Protection Act by charging borrowers unnecessary or excessive fees during the escrow process, including reconveyance, shipping, and handling fees.
The case is currently pending before the Clark County County Superior Court in Vancouver, Washington. Discovery is ongoing, and no class has yet been certified.
