Assault and Battery – intentional physical harm to another person. Crimes include sexual assault, rape, molestation, child abuse, attempted murder, etc.

Wrongful Death – murder, manslaughter and vehicular homicide

False Imprisonment – holding a person against his or her will. Examples include rape and kidnapping cases

Intentional or Reckless Infliction of Emotional Distress – stalking cases

Negligence – failure to use care that a reasonable person would use under similar circumstances. Examples include negligent security and negligent hiring.

• Jury verdict for two Washington residents, one of whom was killed by a parolee from Montana. The case was affirmed by the Montana Supreme Court establishing the state's responsibility for supervision of parolees.
   
• King County jury verdict against the state compensating a woman who was brutally raped by a prison parolee who was not properly supervised. The Washington Supreme Court affirmed the jury award and established new law governing supervision of parole.
  
  
• $1.4 million verdict on behalf of young man sexually assaulted by his family's landlord.
  
  
• $650,000 settlement with the Archdiocese of Seattle and other church organizations on behalf of a man sexually abused by Catholic priests and Christian Brothers as a child and adolescent.
• Confidential settlement with Federal Way (Washington) School District on behalf of a man sexually abused by a schoolteacher and coach during the 1980s.
• Settlement for a woman sexually assaulted by a supervisor.
• Settlement for a man sexually abused by a priest as a child.
• Settlement for a nursing home resident sexually assaulted by a health care provider.
• Settlement against the state for placing our client in a foster home where s/he was sexually abused.
• Jury verdicts against a plastic surgeon who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman under anesthesia.
• Settlement for a woman sexually victimized by her physician.
• Settlement involving a woman sexually assaulted by a bus driver.
